Information:
Name: Lawrence Francis Gowan
Ring Name: Larry Gowan
Nickname: The White Knight
DOB: November 22, 1969
Hometown: Toronto, Canada
Height: 5'7"
Weight: 175 lbs
Place of Birth: Glasgow, Scotland
Pic Base:
Strengths:
1. Innovation and reversals are his specialty. As a twenty-five-year veteran of the sport, Gowan has seen and countered most of the moves out there. For the last six years, he's been teaching at some of the most well-known training facilities around, specializing in aerial and team wrestling techniques.
2. Respects the hell out of the business and his fellow competitors. Will NEVER cheat or play dirty.
3. Charismatic and energetic, Gowan is able to hold the crowd in the palm of his hand with little to no effort. It helps that he's a death-defying high flyer; Gowan is more comfortable in the air than he is with his feet on solid ground. He's honed his aerial moves into a thing of beauty, getting impressive height and impact with every leap.
Weaknesses:
1. Knees: he had surgery in late 2016.
2. Is too nice, to a fault. He's made a habit of trusting people who have a tendency to stab him in the back at the worst possible times (see: Brad Jackson and Kitty Petrova).
3. Intensely dislikes confrontation, and genuine hatred in his opponents. Will stop at nothing to win them over (or kill them) with kindness
4. Will balk at hardcore matches. Hates TLC and ladder matches simply for the brutality and expectation of senseless violence. Refuses to use weapons of any kind, even if it means getting completely destroyed by an opponent who's using one.
In Wrestling:
Style: technical reversi-roo high flyer
Signature Moves:
Giant Killer (dropkick to the knee on taller opponents)
Face Lift (springboard facebuster)
J.O.B. (inverted side headlock swinging bulldog) *vintage finisher*
Most Used Moves:
COMMON HOLDS AND ATTACKS
double-arm DDT, shining wizard, high dropkick, rolling elbow, millennium suplex, tornado DDT, tornado bulldog, facebuster, twist of fate, step-up enziguri, Russian leg sweep, backdrop, reverse DDT, swinging neckbreaker, northern lights suplex, spinning wheel kick, running neckbreaker, running bulldog, tilt-a-whirl headscissors, dropkick to knee
GROUND GAME AND SUBMISSIONS
spinning wristlock, spinning toehold, bow & arrow hold, sharpshooter, triangle choke
AERIAL MANEUVERS
springboard dropkick , springboard cross body block, springboard clothesline, jumping sidekick, dragoncanrana, frankensteiner, flying somersault splash, suicide plancha, asai moonsault, slingshot moonsault, flying headscissors, apron dive somersault
Finishers:
BAM SAID THE LADY! (springboard backflip three-quarter facelock diving bulldog [springboard cutter variation]. In this cutter the opponent and Gowan are in the corner. Gowan puts the opponent in the three-quarter Facelock then runs up the turnbuckle, becoming vertical, then turns in mid-air to land the cutter, usually floating over to hook the leg for a pinfall attempt. [Spike Dudley's Acid Drop])
Alignment: Ultra-Mega Old School Babyface
